You can’t DIY hydrojetting safely — equipment runs at industrial pressures. But you CAN do the maintenance that prevents needing it.

✓ Monthly kitchen disposal scour

Ice cubes + 1 cup of rock salt down the disposal. Run with cold water 30 seconds. Then 4–5 lemon peels. The ice + salt scour the impeller blades AND the calcium ring forming in the trap. Done monthly, this prevents the slow-drain spiral that ends in needing a jet. Total: 2 minutes.

STOP if: the drain is already slow — at that point monthly maintenance won’t reverse what’s already there. Time for the jet.
